One fun thing to do this weekend is to join The Bit Players, Newport’s comedy improv troupe, at Firehouse Theater. Also, take an opportunity to scare the heck out of yourself by going to the Fortress of Nightmares tour at Fort Adams. Guides will lead the way through spooky areas of the Fort not usually seen on regular tours, and you will hear the eerie, bizarre, and macabre tales of the Fort’s long history and legend "from the resident spirits themselves," so they say.
