Wet Paint returns to weekend format - great bargains on new art
Posted July 20th, 2008 by NewportArtMuseumAfter experimenting with changes to the format for the popular art event, “Wet Paint” last year, the Newport Art Museum is returning to the occasion’s roots as a two-day celebration of shared art-making experiences. “Wet Paint” weekend, sponsored by William Vareika Fine Arts Ltd, is coming up on Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17 in Newport. “Still wet" artworks created by regional artists on Saturday will be sold during silent and live auctions. Proceeds benefit the Museum's extensive education, exhibition and community outreach programs.
