Labor Day is hands down the favorite weekend of the year around here. You would not think so since it means the end of summer, but there is something about the calm, cool nights that make this a great weekend to get out and make those last seasonal visits.
The big event of this weekend is the 11th Annual Newport Waterfront Irish Festival which runs Saturday through Monday. Also a special treat for Bruce Springstreen fans when the concert file “Live in Barcelona” plays at The Jane Pickens Theater.

Other than the possibilities of some showers on Saturday night the rest of the weekend looks like a beautiful Labor Day with sunny days and cool nights.
