July 4 -- Everyone Goes Somewhere
Newport schools – like all the others – teach that the July 4th is about America’s independence, fireworks and parades. However, the lesson that is easier to learn is that it’s a weekend to stay home and avoid the crowds. This city gets crazy. We can already see the influx of people since many of the summer rentals started on July 1. Usually we get into a lot of details about what’s going around town so we can give you a reason to visit Newport – not this week. You know the July 4th drill. If you are ready to let it out for a wild weekend, then come on down. If that’s not for you, there are still eight summer weekends that might be better for your visit.
Looking ahead to next week, don’t forget about the Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships.
